Are you ready for the holidays yet? We didn’t think so!

You probably have a list started, which is already miles long, and you don’t even have everything written down yet. Well, we don’t want to add any more stress to your life, but we want to make sure that you pay attention to your home this holiday season as well.

After all, you are most likely going to have guests walking in and out of your front door numerous times this holiday season, and we want to make sure that you and your home are ready for them.

Here are 3 updates your home needs prior to the holiday season:

1.     Upgrade Your Appliances

Your appliances might be doing okay, but this is the time of the year when the prices on appliances drop significantly. That means that you can get a great deal on that new oven or refrigerator that you have been yearning for. Imagine being able to fit everything into a brand-new oven all at once, because you have finally purchased one that is large enough? The same thing could be said about a new refrigerator that can hold twice the amount of your old one.

2.     Update Your Guest Bathroom

Guest bathrooms often get the short end of the remodeling stick, because homeowners like yourself do not think about them too often. You probably go into yours before a guest arrives at your home, just to make sure that it is clean. However, when you are in there, touching things up, do you think that you really should do something about this outdated space? That’s what we thought! This might be the perfect time to have a professional come in and do a little remodeling to turn this into a spectacular space.

3.     Update Your Family Room

If you plan on using your family room for entertaining this holiday season, now is the time to check things out to see if you need to make any changes. You definitely do not want to use this space for entertaining if you do not have enough seating areas or it is still half unfinished. We recommend hiring a professional to finish off the space, or to add a few extra little touches to really create a phenomenal entertaining space. We recommend incorporating numerous seating areas, a serving area for food and drinks, and even adding a large flat screen television for watching movies or the big game.

Completing any of these three updates before the holidays will make you love entertaining in your home even more than before. Everything will look fresh and new and your guests will ask you how you had the time to do it all in addition to all your other holiday prep. Don’t worry; you won’t need to tell them that it hardly took any time at all to get your home looking amazing, and we aren’t talking!
