Project Spotlight

Spa-Inspired Bathroom in Mashpee

A Space in Need of Change

This bathroom had outlived its usefulness: a cramped vanity layout, a worn tub/shower combo, cracked tile, no ventilation, poor lighting, and zero storage. To complicate things further, a leaking copper barrel-vault roof and structural deficiencies were discovered during demolition—nearly every wall needed reframing.

The Homeowners’ Vision

Our clients wanted the comfort of a high-end hotel in their own home. Their wishlist included:

  • A curbless walk-in shower

  • A second sink

  • Added storage

  • Brighter lighting

  • A clean, modern look

How We Delivered

We reimagined the space from the ground up:

  • Rerouted plumbing to improve layout and add double sinks

  • Converted the tub into a curbless walk-in shower

  • Installed a floating walnut vanity and hidden storage

  • Upgraded lighting, privacy, and airflow

  • Recommended privacy glass instead of full window replacements to save on cost

Design Details That Matter

To bring warmth to the cool gray palette, we used American Black Walnut for the vanity and mirrors. Recessed LED lighting, a backlit mirror, and flush-mount HVAC vents elevated the space. We also coordinated with trades to place a towel bar directly onto the custom glass and added a vanity nightlight outlet for subtle nighttime use.

The New Shower Experience

The centerpiece is a sleek, curbless walk-in shower with a slot drain at the back wall, Grohe rain and handheld fixtures, a bench, a full-length recessed niche, and a frameless glass enclosure that’s door-optional but structurally supported for future changes.

Start to Finish, Fully Managed

From behind-the-walls plumbing to tile, lighting, and fixtures, every detail was crafted with care—to create a bathroom that looks better, functions better, and simply feels right.
