There are so many things to consider when you decide to remodel your kitchen. Mistakes are easily made.
Forgetting the Extra Cabinet Storage
Deciding to add on small additions such as pantry pull outs and drawer dividers might seem like it’s not a big deal but it can easily save you money in the long run. If you decided to add these on later it can cost you a good bit of money. Not only will you be saving money, you will have extra storage, and will also be more organized. You will be so happy you added on these features in the long run.
Forgetting the Busy Area
A lot of people don’t take into consideration the “busy area” of their kitchen. For most, these areas are the sink, stove, and refrigerator. You want to make sure these are all located close to one another to make your work time more productive. This area is actually referred to as the “work triangle”.
Forgetting to Put Together a Budget
You should never start on any kind of renovation without having some kind of budget in place. Decide ahead of time what it is you really want to do and how much money you have to do it with. Once you are comfortable with the budget you have set, stick to it, and don’t go over.
When remodeling your kitchen, you have to think about the big picture. You should consider the backsplash, wall color, flooring etc. and how well it will all go together. You should have this all figured out beforehand to keep from being overwhelmed with decisions in the end.
